About the Brand

Born from banana bread. Built for the crunch.

Crunches Lagos started as a home banana bread operation - simple, warm, and made with care. Over time, the brand evolved into a full pastry experience centred around texture, flavour, and the satisfying bite of something done right. Today, Crunches Lagos serves a Lagos audience that wants good food that feels real - not fancy, not intimidating. Just honest, crunchy, and made for everyday enjoyment.

TAGLINE - Savour Every Crunch

The Brief

Build a brand that feels as good as it tastes.

The challenge was to create a visual identity that bridges two realities — a soft, homemade origin and a bold, crunchy present — while staying accessible and relatable to everyday Lagosians.

Identity Gap - The brand had evolved but the visual language hadn't caught up. It needed to reflect growth without abandoning its roots.

Tone Calibration - Modern and friendly — not high-end or luxurious. The identity had to feel like a familiar neighbour, not a premium restaurant.

Campaign Foundation - A system flexible enough to work across social media, posters, and print — from daily posts to seasonal campaigns.

The Approach

Uncover the Story. Define the Feeling. Build the System.

The Story - Mapping the brand journey from banana bread origin to crunchy present. The evolution became the central narrative.

The Feeling - Warm, casual, relatable, Lagos-native. The brand should feel like it belongs in your neighbourhood.

The System - Logo, colour palette, typeface stack, and a campaign framework that scales.

The Logo Story

The logo is more than a mark, it's a compressed timeline of the brand's journey. The banana sits quietly in the negative space of the toasted bread slightly faded, slightly out of focus. It's the past. The humble origin. The banana bread that started it all. The toast steps forward -ngolden, bold, front and centre. It's the present and the future. Crunchy, confident, built for the streets of Lagos. The cloud blob behind the wordmark gives the brand a sticker-like, street-friendly energy - approachable without trying too hard.

The logo doesn't erase the past. It just lets the present lead.

Outcome

A brand with something to say

Crunches Lagos now has a visual identity that tells its full story -from humble roots, bold direction, and a personality that feels unmistakably Lagos. From posters to billboards, tote bags to stickers; every touchpoint carries the same warmth, the same crunch, the same Lagos energy. One identity. Many surfaces.
