I'm Elias Tomiwa Alli — though friends and family call me Tomiwa. I'm a graphic designer and photographer based in Calgary, Alberta, and I've spent the better part of a decade helping brands find their visual voice and capturing moments that matter.

My path into creative work wasn't straightforward. Trained as an architect, I developed an eye for composition, space, and how things fit together. But I found myself drawn to the faster, more human pace of design and photography — creating work that connects with people directly, whether that's a brand identity that tells a company's story or a portrait that captures someone at their best.

As a designer, I work with businesses, nonprofits, and organizations that need thoughtful, strategic visual solutions. Over the past 8 years, I've built brands from scratch, designed marketing campaigns, and created everything from brochures and company profiles to multi-page layouts and social media systems. My design work is grounded in clarity: making complex ideas accessible and memorable.

As a photographer, I focus on people and the moments that define their stories: weddings, portraits, events, and editorial work. I'm obsessed with light, composition, and the fleeting expressions that make a photo feel alive. I recently invested in professional gear and I'm building this side of my practice with the same intention I bring to design work.

What ties both together is this: I believe good creative work starts with listening. Whether I'm developing a brand or photographing your wedding, I take time to understand what matters to you, what you're trying to say, and who you're trying to reach.

Based in Calgary, I draw inspiration from this city's mix of urban energy and mountain proximity. When I'm not working, you'll find me exploring new perspectives, literally and figuratively, through my camera.
